My girl has been teething for so long now, it’s like a constant state of being for her. She’s working on her top four middle teeth at once, and her gums are sooo swollen. I give her all sorts of homeopathic goodies to help her feel better, and ibuprofen when it’s really bad. But she also loves putting everything in her mouth, food or not. Chewing seems to help her gums feel so much better.
So I figured giving her hard cold foods would help her out too. She appreciated it.
Raw carrot sticks are easy to hold and gnaw.

The perfect shape for little hands.

And the apple slice was a hit too. I just heard “Chomp…sucksucksucksuck” over and over.

At the very least, it gives her something else to think about besides the teething pain. Poor girl.

We’ve had a lot of good luck with watermelon, because you can get it really, really cold, but it still tastes good. And I don’t know about A, but Ben is a huge fan of making a big, dribbly mess and watermelon really helps him achieve that goal.
how fun! I bought one the other day.
Can’t wait to see how she likes it.
I adore that dress! Strawberries are a big hit here too. Raw carrots not so much – I think he gets frustrated because he wants to eat and swallow. He’s a fatty.
PS My husband always says how cute your baby is when he sees me looking at pics & posts.
Ahh, I was commenting on both of your posts at once apparently. I meant to say that APPLES are a hit here as well. I’ll go leave my strawberries comment where it belongs now…
hehe.
