Raw Carrot Sticks

A couple weeks ago I posted this picture in the BLW Faces section. I fully intended on writing an actual post about it, but time slipped away from me and then the pictures wouldn’t upload. After much advice to use Windows Live Writer, we’re back in business. So here it is. Kynlee’s first time trying (raw) carrots.

I had several large carrots so I just peeled & washed one and then cut it into thirds. They were then a pretty good size for K to handle and she was eager to get her hands on them!…all at once.

It's to hard to eat holding all 3...

She quickly realized that it’d be easier to eat (chew on) one at a time.

This is delicious! One is much easier to handle :)Mmmm...Too.Many.Pictures.

At the time these pictures were taken, Kynlee’s 3rd tooth was coming in so this carrot made an awesome teething aid. It was also a great snack for her and she seemed to really enjoy it! Since then, we have given her cooked sweet carrots and she devoured them! Looks like carrots are a win – raw or cooked!

Whitney @ Keeping up with Kynlee

In August 2010, Whitney became a first-time momma to a little girl named Kynlee. A few months ago she had never even heard of baby-led weaning and planned on making homemade purées. Now that she has more information on BLW, she is so excited about it!

So do you like WLW better then? I love it but I know it’s not for some people. I really enjoy using your alt tags on your pictures (hover over the pics to see them pop up).

I’ve given Anneliese raw carrots pretty often but I don’t think she’s eaten any… just chewed. But it’s a tasty sweet cold (out of the fridge anyway) teething aid, like you said.
