Cinnamon Apples
It might say “for babies” but this is really for you too. These apples are delicious and easy. It might not even be a real recipe… but here it is. My daughter really enjoys sucking on raw apples, so I wanted to try cooked ones to see if they would be easier for her to eat. She looooved these.

Ingredients:
- 2-3 Tbsp butter
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- Generous sprinkling of cinnamon
- (optional) sprinkles of cloves, allspice, nutmeg
Method:
- Heat your pan, then melt butter in it.

- Peel, core, and slice your apples.

- Throw your apples in the butter, and toss until coated. Sprinkle with cinnamon and spices.

- Cook until soft and fragrant. Allow to cool a bit before giving to baby! Enjoy.

Those look delicious! I like to wrap apples in tin foil with cinnamon and butter and bake them (or toss them on a camp fire if we’re on vacay). Haven’t offered to Sebastian yet but he loves apples so we’ll have to soon.
[...] will make them only like sweet things. Clearly that’s not the case with my girl! I gave her cinnamon apples at the same time as the salami, and she switched back and forth between the two, enjoying the [...]
YUM! I have never tried them this way! I don’t think my waistline would forgive me!!! I core whole apples, put them in a baking pan, pour a bit of apple juice over them, sprinkle cinnamon (and brown sugar if being decadent) and bake for 40mins …
Tried these today and they were a hit. Think the Higglet is finally getting the hang of BLW. Two of these were merrily munched and squished to a pulp. Nice BLW moment with Mummy, Daddy and baby all eating the same thing!
I left the skins on so that there was something for the Higglet to hold onto.
